ISO: Cooking Contest ideas and guidelines

Hello. I would like to know if there is anyone that can assist me. I am trying to find out how to organize a cooking contest.

The ladies in a Newcomer's club have been talking about having a flan bake-off. So far there is plenty of interest, but we had a request to make this a bigger event, and I don't know where to begin.

If some has quidelines or ideas, I would appreciate it.
