ISO: cucumber preserves

i am looking for a recipe that i think is called cucumber preserves. It is a very tasty recipe but i can't seem to find it no where. my grandmother used to make them for us hwen we were younger and i remember that they had red hots and cinnimon sticks and cloves and they were seeded and slices and then put into jars and they turned red and kept all yr they were crunchy yet kinda soft had a cinnimon taste to them. if anyone out there knows what i am talking about please i need some help i have been trying to find this for a long while now and am having no luck.
