ISO: Customizing tomato sauce question
Misc.I canned tomato sauce with extra basil & garlic. and wonder if I shouldn't have?
The custom recipe I used was:
10 pounds tomatoes
2 cup fresh basil leaves
2 bulbs garlic
6 tbs olive oil
1 tbs sugar
2 tsp salt
I added 1 tbs lemon juice to each pint and processed in the water bath for 35 minutes.
Was it a mistake to up the basil and garlic so much?
