ISO: Debra/northern n.y.--need more info plea

Thanks for your recipe, Debra but I need a little info. What knd of onion soup -- condensed or the french onion (consomme-type)? Also, what do you do with the soup and when? What oven temp for how long? Will this be pot roast? Sorry, but I told you I was a novice and I need more complete instructions. Thanks for your patience.
