ISO: Forgotten cookies using candied fruits and deep fried...

My grandmother's family used to make a wonderful cookie called forgotten cookies. They were little pockets that I believe were deep fried, and filled with a candied fruit concoction that had to set for month's in the freezer before using. It is Italian by origin, and is one of the most amazing tastes ever. Any help would be so very appreciated!!!!!
