ISO: gingerbread house glue

Hi,
I plan to make gingerbread houses with my kindergartener's class and I was wondering about a fast and strong glue. Someone mentioned using dried egg whites since it would be safer. What is that and where do I get it. Does someone know the recipe for it? Thanks
