ISO: Hot and sweet pickles

Misc.
I am wanting a recipe for hot and sweet pickles that use
fresh cucumbers. The pickles I have eaten had red pepper flakes and had a few chopped jalepenos floating in the brine;however, they were still sweet yet hot and very crunchy. I could not get the recipe from the people who made them because they sell them as a business. I just love them so much I can't afford to pay $8 a pint. I have a plentiful harvest of cucumbers that I would love to make into these pickles...please help if you can!!!
Thank you.
