ISO: jumbo santa face cookies

Several years ago, in a womens magazine (ladies home journal, redbook, good housekeeping), there was a jumbo face santa cookie, with recipe and cut out pattern on the page. I made these a couple of times, and even though they were quite time consuming, and somewhat expensive they were always a hit with the kid. One Christmas parents would not let kids eat, they thought they were decorations. I am trying to see if anyone has ever come across this receipe. I do know I fist found it around 1989, if that helps
