ISO: Kreppeel

Misc.
My Mother would like to find a recipe she remembers from her childhood that her Grandmother used to make for her. She discribes it as being donut like. She thinks it was called Kreppeel. She is of German heritage but family lived in Russia so it could be either. I've looked everywhere but can not find it. If you know of any such recipe I would love to have it. Thank you.
