ISO: Lemon Syrup

Misc.

ISO: Lemon Syrup Recipe. I had a recipe that I got from the food section of the Atlanta Journal (sometime between 1965 and 1969) for a pound cake with a lemon syrup that you poured in the hole of the cake after it was baked and it soaked into the cake about 1" or so, resulting in this yummy cake with a lemon/butter-soaked bottom. I have somehow lost the recipe for the syrup and wonder if anyone would have a similar recipe. I remember it had real lemon juice, and a lot of butter (at least one stick, and maybe two or even three!) Thanks for any recipes!
