ISO: Mealie pap recipe (not porridge but texture the same as crumble for fruit pies)

Misc.

I am looking for a recipe to make a variation of mealy meal/mealy pap. The final product resembles a crumble-type pie topping, being separate and friable.
A South African friend made it for us on various occasions but we have now lost contact.
Can anyone help with a recipe?
Thank you.
