SCHOOL HOUSE ROLLS
1/2 oz. or 1 pkg. yeast
1 cup lukewarm water
2 tbsp. sugar
2 cups flour
1/4 cup non-fat dry milk powder
3/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup shortening
Mix yeast, water, and sugar; let stand 10 minutes.
Sift flour, dry milk powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix shortening into flour mixture, then add liquid.
Roll out dough, shape into rolls and place in a lightly greased baking sheet or pan. Let stand to rise for 30 minutes.
Bake in preheated 425 degree F oven until done (no time provided).
Makes 12 rolls
