ISO: Molasses cookies from late 1960's woman's magazine

Misc.
I'm trying to find a cookie recipe I used to make that was in woman's magazine around 1967 - 1969. I believe it was probably Woman's Day or Family Circle, but I'm not sure. These molasses cookies were very unique in that they were very dark in color and very spicy and they were crispy and chewy at the same time. Does anyone have this recipe that they could share? Thanks so much!
