ISO: My plum jam didn't set?

Misc.
My plum jam is very runny - it is just a little bit sticky but not really enough to call it jam.

Can I re-boil it all to get it to the jellying point?
How will I know when it's there?
Will it be important to re-sterilize all the jars?
