ISO: Nougat Creme--What Is It?
Misc. I am seeking to replicate a confection similar to a truffle that calls for a marzipan center coated with "nougat creme" however I am unable to find a clear definition of nougat creme and do not know if I can simply use a nougat recipe in its pre-cooled state for use in coating the maripan prior to a final dipping in chocolate. Is nougat creme different from nougat? Is there a recipe available for nougat creme, or cream, suitable for layering a truffle?
