ISO: OLD TIMIE MOLASSES PONE CAKE W/APPLESAUC

i'AM LOOKING FOR A RECIPE FOR A SOUTHERN MOLASSES CAKE WITH APPLESAUCE BETWEN THE LAYERS. YOU MAKE IT UP LIKE A BISKET DOUGH WITH MOLASSES AND SPICES ETC. KNEED IT AND BAKE IT IN A CAST IRON SKILLET, THEN CUT THE 2 CAKES IN HALF, PUT THE APPLESAUCE IN BETWEEN THE LAYERS. THIS WAS A OLD RECIPE MY MOM MADE FROM MEMORY, NOW THAT SHE HAS DIED I HAVE NO WAY OF GETTING IT, PLEASE HELP!
