ISO: Parkay Lentil Soup Recipe

I'm looking for a simple recipe that I lost; it appeared on the Parkay margarine box in the 1980s. "Lentil Soup" featured a whole stick of margarine, an onion, a package of lentils, 10 cups of water and a bay leaf, I think. I'm wondering if I'm forgetting something. Please help -- it reminds me a great deal of a trip I once took! Thanks in advance!
