ISO: pastry with sugar and honey coating (like elephant ears, Greek?)

hi, looking for recipe that i believe is greek. looks like a large elephant ear but is much lighter it also has a sugar and honey coating on the outside. i really couldn't tell if it was baked or fried..any ideas would greatly appreciate it..thanks nicky
