ISO: Peanut Butter Ice Cream Topping

Hi! I have been trying to find a recipe for a thick peanut butter sauce that goes over ice cream. I have had it at restaurants but cannot duplicate it at home. It is smooth and the cosistency of a thick hot fudge sauce...can anyone help?
