I had a friend who cleans professionally. She uses oven cleaner in the frig. I spray my frig especially the grungy places and let it set while I load the dishwasher. By the time i'm done with loading the frig is ready to be wiped down. I wish i had known this before i spent many days with sore elbows.
This also works in the bath to get soap scum off the tiles and grout before resealing with car wax to prevent build up next time.
