ISO: Powdered pectin versus Liquid

A question for Jene. If you use the powdered pectin in a recipe that requires liquid pectin ( using 2-3 Tablespoons for each pack of liquid as you say) Do you just add the powder in the beginning instead of at the end as required for liquid pectin. We are also unable to get liquid pectin in South Africa and I have so many recipes that use it. I want to try using the powder instead. Please help.
