ISO: Pressure canning?

HI-
I recently acquired a pressure canner and have not done this typeo fcanning previously. In the directions that came with this canner, it has instructions for canning fruits. I have also heard elsewhere that you should not can fruits under pressure, just use the pressure canner unlocked and can them in a boiling water bath.
Has anyone ever canned fruits with a pressure canner? Any tips for someone new to steam pressure canning?
Thank you very much for your help. I have only done a small amount of boiling water bath canning, but I want to learn more about canning.
