ISO: Rabot: wooden spreader for making crepes

Misc.

I am searching for a rabot, the wooden spreader used for spreading p te
cr pes (cr pe batter) into perfectly round cr pes (paper-thin pancakes). It is
usually sold with a cr pi re (cr pe making machine).

I've seen two models of rabots or wooden spreaders. The first model I observed
in several cr peries in Paris. It had the shape of a rake. That is, the base
was shaped like a half moon with the thin handle attached at the center of the
arch. I saw the second in the cr peries of the Nice and Cannes. That rabot or
spreader resembled a croquet mallet. It had a six inch (6") long wooden
cylindrical base that is about an inch (1") thick with a thin handle also about
6 inches long.

I would like to obtain the second model. Its croquet mallet shape seems to
enable the user to position the handle at variety of different angles, and thus
makes it easier to maneuver the rabot about the cooking surface without losing
contact. The rake shaped model does not provide such flexibility.
