Misc. This is a recipe for a Mexican dip I use--I don't know if it is exactly what you want but I always get reave reviews when I make it!
Ingredients:
1-8 ounce pkg. of cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 pound ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
1-8 0unce can tomato sauce
2 cups shredded taco or cheddar cheese
4 cups shredded lettuce
2 medium tomatoes, diced
1 small onion, diced
1 medium green pepper, diced
Tortilla chips
in a small mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayo until smooth. Spread on a 12 to 14 inch pizza pan or serving dish. Refrigerate for one hour. In a saucepan, over medium heat brown the beef;drain
Add taco seasoning mix and tomato sauce; cook and stir for 5 minutes. .
Cool completely.Spread over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate. Just before serving layer with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, onions, and peppers. serve with chips.
You could also add hot peppers to the layers if you wish--I often use hot
taco seasoning--it gives it a kick!
