ISO: Re: ISO: smothered pork chops REC

Angela: Was it a mushroom gravy? An old easy standby in my house growing up was as easy as browning the chops on both sides and into the pan saute onions, add cream of mushroom soup (undiluted or with a bit of water)and fresh or canned mushrooms. Pour this over the chops in a 9 x 13" pan. Cover and bake at 350 or so til the chops are tender and cooked through. Great with rice or mashed potatoes. My mom also did one with a tomato based sauce. I could come up with that one but don't know what exactly you are looking for.
