ISO: rebel pie

Looking for a recipe a relative calls Rebel Pie. It is a two layer pie; bottom layer is a double crust red raspberry pie, top layer is a custard. The only rebel pie recipes I can find are for a walnut or pecan filling pie. I've only eaten this one time, but it was delicious and I would love to know how to make it. Relative won't give up the recipe. Family secret will disappear with them.
