ISO: refrigerator pickles

Misc.

'Refrigerator pickles' are what I am looking for. My grandmother made the greatest sweet pickles. I helped her make them a few times, many years ago. After slicing the pickles, you put them in the refrigerator, for a week (or so) changing the liquid every few days (I think). Can anyone help me out? My grandmother was born in Vienna, but lived most of her life in Cleveland, Ohio and Naples, Fl. What a terrific cook. Thanks, Diane
