ISO: "state" related recipes

Misc.

My 5th grade students are extending their research of the United States by
making a cookbook of recipes that are "special" to each of the states. Any help
out there? The recipes could be something made with a particular product that
is important to the state; for example, Hawaii-Scalloped 'Pineapple'. This is
the first time we've done this, and we'd like to do a good job. Thanks.
