ISO: Swagat Indian Food

There is a wonderful chain of Indian Food rest. in California called Swagats. One is in Milpitas and it has spoiled me forever with the best Chicken Makhani or Butter Chicken I have ever tasted. It is golden and creamy and mild with just a little bite.

My problem is that they are now far away from me, and even counting the times I drive to the closest one and buy quantity to store, I am still sadly in need of more! My family consumes my stash all the time.

Is there anyway that someone has a recipe which is at least close to this taste? I am not much of a cook, but I have tried a few recipes with no luck. it is not red so no tomatos? although it is orange..... is thick and savory so maybe coconut milk? maybe cream?
