ISO: Tadales (Italian similar to a hard pretzel )
Misc.I am searching for the recipe for "tadales" My Italian grandmother and mother-in-law made them. They are not a cookie more like a pencil thin donut shape. The are very hard and perfect for dunking in coffee or tea. The dough is made and small pieces rolled into pencil thin donut shapes. Then boiled before baking which makes them hard. One of the ingredients I recall is cracked black pepper. Thank you.
