Hey Derek that is quite the assignment -- maybe Mom CAN'T help! i'd be at a loss ...

I thought i might have one but it is 'turn of the centery' sugar cookies so it won't due some 80 yrs off!

I am thinking soups might fit the bill ....
I would suggest that you post this plea in 2 other places ... on the cookbook disscuion board and on the kitchen table board ... at the kitchen table we mull over these kinds of problems and have an older set there sometimes ...

One problem is that recipes from that time would have been handed down verbally most likely .... so some history of what "might have been" would be in order then we could do adapting of some current recipes. Can you tell us what your books say aobut what he MIGHT have eaten?

FISH of course too!

please keep us informed on progress and post over at the places i mentioned ...
