Jeanne, I can really identify with everything you said. I only wish I had paid more attention to HOW my mom made the potato salad, instead of bugging her about when it would be ready to eat! Sure sounds like you hit on the right formula. I will try it this weekend and let you know. Even if it's not EXACTLY right, I think it will be a good point from which to start. I really appeciate your post. I, too, have looked and looked for a similar recipe. Thank you a lot.
