Wow! I've been searching for this recipe. I actually have it handwritten on the back of an envelope (letter from my Mom in November of 1967). I had purchased a Mirro Cookie Press that year, but the included recipe booklet did NOT have the Velvet Cookie recipe. My Mom read it to me over the telephone, from her booklet (1950's vintage). I have carried on the tradition of that holiday cookie for 46 years. Soooooooooooo nice to see it actually in print after all these years. With gratitude from another Jan!
