Thank You: Pink Champagne Cake

I grew up in Vallejo and enjoyed my visits to The Home Bakery for the yummy Chocolate cupcakes piled hig with frosting. My sister always got a butter cookie (they came in multi colors) and my mother usually got the famous Champagne Cake for my grandmother for her birthday. We moved in 1978 and went back for a visit in 1985 and brought home a Champagne cake because we "had to".My mother went to this bakery when she was young we had a good many memories there. I believe the "Cactus" restaurant was next door and had the wonderful Enchilada Special....MMMM Memories!
