Thank You: Removing blackyberry stains

Misc.
The hot water method for removing blackberry stains works, I am shocked! I managed to dump a bowl of freshly-cut blackberries all over the carpet and some on an upholstered dining room chair. (Note to self: don't cut them next time, there would have been much less mess!) Before trying anything, I ran to the computer & did a search, and read your suggestion. The hot water saved both the carpet and the chair! I would never have thought of this, because I assumed hot water would SET a stain rather than remove it. And what's more, when I looked at the white towel I was using to rub the hot water in, I noticed that there isn't a single blackberry stain on it, it's just wet. So the hot water actually dissolves the stain, like magic! THANK YOU, what a terrific tip!
