Anise bulb/leaves...what to do?

Hello Friends, Does anyone know what one can do with the bulb(root) and feathery
leaves of the anise plant? Is it possible to dry, or freeze it...and how? Also
any recipes would be welcome for this form of the plant. Mom got one and she
needs to know what to do with it. There at=re lots of recipes for using the
seeds, but not in this form. HELLLLPPPP!!!
