Hello Everyone!

Hello Everyone!

I have missed you all and posting dinners lately! I have been very, very busy getting stuff ready for a massive antique/vintage/retro yard sale this Saturday and three more Saurdays ahead. So, you can imagine the preparation involved. I had to borrow some tables from good neighbors for this one.

Now for the good and exciting news...we found a beautiful "Southern Living-style" house up in Nicholson, Georgia that I absolutely fell in love with. It is on a 1 1/2 acre wooded lot with a sweet garden shed on the property. It is a Cape Cod with beautiful hardwood floors, big wide plantation shutters and a gorgeous cook's kitchen with black granite countertops and cherry cabinets! My favorite part is the breakfast area...the closing is scheduled for May 23rd and soon I will be posting as Gina/GA! Sally has graciously offered to show me around Georgia and hang out with her whenever I go to Atlanta. The house is only 15 minutes away from Athens. While we were there, the weather was a comfortable 29 one morning and did not go past the 50's, loved it!!!! Of course, I have been told that in summer, it does get quite hot!

I bought a wonderful book full of delicious and fun and different recipes while in Athens, it is called Under the Magnolias, A Tasteful Tour of Athens and it is by Athens Academy Parent Service Organization, Athens, Georgia. I was reading it on the way home and it has some very, very tasty recipes I had never heard or seen before. So soon I will be trying them out and posting for you!

I just wanted to come in here and tell you all how much I have missed you and I will be posting as soon as I can! Wish me luck for this weekend's sale!

Hugs, Gina
