candied sweetpotatoes & apples

I am looking for a receipe for candied sweet-potatoes and apples. I saw one many years ago in a receipe book from the Morvian community of Winston-Salem, North Carliina and tried it and loved it. That was many years ago and I can't find it now, Can any of you help? You can e-mail me at lastframe
