Cooked those little critters

Misc.

Several weeks ago I bought "brown rice" and put it as always in a glass container. I made a chicken casserole in which you don't cook the rice first. A few days later I was just going to cook the rice, so put in in with the water and saw all sorts of little "critters" floating to the top. I promptly threw away remaining rice, then remembered we had eaten it before. No noticable change in the way the dish tasted, but I would not recommend adding protein to diet in this manner. Good luck getting rid of them.
