Those bugs are horrible!

Misc.

I had a major infestation of them several years ago. They were in everything, not just open things, either. Check your spice packets-chili, taco, etc, for tiny little drilled holes. Throw it out if you find the holes, the bugs aren't far behind. If your boxes of pasta have little webby strings on top, throw them out. They also love chocolate. Not to recommend a product, so I'll say either rubber maid or tupperware modular mates are the best solution. I redid my whole pantry (well, almost all), and haven't had much trouble since. Where I've had problems is with leaving instant cereal boxes untaped, or old boxes of rice or buckwheat flour packages. Look through your cupboards, throw everything suspicious out. Chances are, you will find a "mother lode" of problems. Wash down all the shelves and backings, change the paper or coverings because they hid underneath, and put fresh stuff in. Use the bay leaves all over, and in the summer, since I have a separate pantry, I hang one of those sticky tape old-fashioned fly paper hangers to catch the flying moths. Haven't had much of a problem since, except for a few lax mistakes on my part. Check those cake mixes, too, since that is how my mother in law got a mess in her stuff. Fresh box from the store, too. She remembers putting it in the cupboard, and using it two weeks later, and it was loaded, and so were all her cupboards. She uses bay leaves, too, now, and puts borax on the shelves of non-eating things, such as wall paper paste powder, that sort of stuff.
