diabetic desserts that use applesauce?

Misc.

Hey everyone!

I've got a challenge: My dad's diaDiabetic desserts that use applesauce
betic (adult-onset, not insulin
dependent...yet). He hates using fake sweeteners in baking, but likes
applesauce (please... no prune puree!), which is good.

Does anyone have any good dessert recipes that *don't* use artificial
sweeteners or prune puree that would be appropriate for diabetics? He's
particularly partial to chocolate-flavored stuff, fruit pies and
cobblers, and oatmeal cookies (which I think would be yummy sweetened
with applesauce or OJ concentrate).

Thanks for the help!
