FROZEN ILLINOIS

Misc.

WELL,ITS 17 DEGREES AND IT WAS SNOWING EARLIER, BUT QUIT NOW, WE HAD SOME HEAVY SNOW FOR A WHILE LAST NIGHT, HECK WITH ALL THE STUFF OUT THERE I CANT TELL HOW MUCH SNOW WE GOT. OUR POWER WAS OFF ABOUT 10 MIN LSST NIGHT WHILE THE BRAVE WORKERS HOOKED UP THE LINE THAT WAS LAYING IN THE YARD. BLESS ALL THE POWER WORKERS. STILL PEOPLE IN TOWN WITHOUT POWER. MY HUSBANDS SON IS ONE OF THEM. THE REST ALL HAVE ELECTRICY BACK ON BY 7 PM. SOME HAD BEEN WITHOUT POWER SINCE 3AM THAT DAY. OVER THE YEARS, IT SEEMS THAT NEW YEARS ALWAYS HAS TURNED TO BAD WEATHER AROUND HERE. MARY, HAVE YOU HEARD FROM THE KIDS YET? HOPE THEY MADE IT OKAY. WHAT VENTUROUS SOULS THAT HAVE PASSED ON THE ROADS LATELY ARE GOING VERY SLOW. AT LEAST THE RAIN IS NOT IN THE NEAR FUTURE, JUST SNOW FLURRIES. PATTY IN N GA, I THINK THE ONLY WAY I WILL VISIT MY SISTER IS TO FLY, AND I HAVENT EVER FLOWN. SHE FLIES ALL OVER, SHE IS RETIRED FROM DELTA, AND YOUNG ENOUGH TO ENJOY IT. TANA, SEEN EVILL HAD ALL THAT RAIN FREEZE AND ICY STREETS LAST NIGHT, DID THEY GET THEM CLEARED OFF? NOTHING BUT NATIONAL NEWS TODAY, NO LOCAL STUFF EXCEPT CANCELATION SCOLLS ARCROSS THE TV SCEEN. WELL, I GUESS KY GOT SPARED THIS YEAR, IN THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS THEY HAVE GOTTEN ALL THE FREEZING RAIN AND SNOW, BUT I HAVENT HEARD ANY CANCELLATIONS OR STUFF PRETAINING TO THEM. STAY WARM EVERYONE, WE ARE.
