BARBECUED WIENERS
Barbecued wieners are extra special and fashionable when marinated and cooked in flavorful He-Man Barbecue Sauce.
TO PREPARE WIENERS:
Split half way through, lay cut side down in sauce and marinate at least one hour. Baste while broiling.
Serve with additional sauce to pour over toasted buns and hot dogs. Tomato wedges and sour dill pickles complement the barbecued wieners.
The preparation of the sauce is as easy as 1-2-3:
HE-MAN BARBECUE SAUCE
Makes 1 1/2 cups sauce
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup wine vinegar
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon minced chives
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan. Over low heat, simmer and stir 10 minutes.
Sauce is a good keeper. We suggest you double the recipe and have plenty on hand.
