Hamhocks

Misc.

Dear RisaG:

I just happened to ask that same question at the grocery store this week. I bought some dried beans and wanted to make soup; I looked at smoked hamhocks and smoked neck bones. I went up to another shopper and asked if she knew which would be better for making the soup. She told me that hamhocks would be good; they were from the thigh area on the pig. If she was right, you have your answer!
