Recipe(tried): Patitas de Cerdo (Fresh Ham Hocks Puertorican style) for Natika

Main Dishes - Pork, Ham
This is a very Puerto Rican Dish. You'd be surprised of how delicious it is. I even add 1/2 cup of sliced almonds to the stew. I serve it over White Rice.

Stewed Pig Feet (Patitas de Cerdo Guisadas)
Servings 6
(Repost of one of my postings)

4 fresh pigs feet, split by the butcher
lbs cubed smoked ham
3-1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon Adobo
Salt & Pepper to taste
A pinch of ground allspice
A pinch of nutmeg
5 whole cloves stuffed as for a ham into a big onion
1 bay leaf
2 chopped onions,
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
4 garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 cup sliced celery
1/2 cup tomato juice
1 28-ounce can whole tomatoes processed
2 tablespoons Tabasco or to taste
4 potatoes, peeled and cut in big chunks
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 cup white wine
1/4 cup brown sugar

Placed washed and sliced by the butcher fresh pigs' feet in a large pot with sufficient water to cover. Bring to a boil. Add remaining ingredients except the potatoes and reduce heat to low. Cover the pot tightly and simmer slowly for 3 hours or until tender. During the last 15 minutes, add the potatoes and cook until tender.
