Hi Carey

Misc.
....glad you liked the sound of the recipe although it's not something i've tried myself yet. I should imagine that they are probably fairly quick if you cheat and buy ready made pastry. You could shove them in the oven in the evening while you sit down and relax, let them cool then pack them for lunch the next day.

Re the job i am afraid that the news is not good - it was announced on Friday that we will be made redundant and i have to admit that although i was a bit upset and shocked i was also prepared for it so it could have been worse. Anyway, sometimes it's good to have a fresh start and i've already started applying for new jobs. The worst part of the whole process is not knowing but once they tell you what is happening you are in a better position to take control of the events effecting your life so i feel more empowered now. The money we get for the redundancy isn't great at all but if we are careful it could tide us over for 6 months, though we both want a job asap so that we can then save the rest of the money towards getting married/holiday.Thanks for asking for news of the situation :)
