Hi Nan,

ummmm, you were raised on this type of cooking, lucky you. Southern Cuisine holds a special place in my heart for its wholehearted goodness and simple delicious taste.

Sylvia Woods is a precious woman who is always present at her restaurant in Harlem, N.Y. So if you are ever in N.Y., please stop by because she makes it a point to visit all her tables to see how you like her cooking. She is a jewel.

I do believe that Hemingway is mentioned in the title of her new book and the book is chock-full of stories of her kin and surroundings.

Oh, the South, her glory knows no bounds and her cooking is justified in the smiles of those who are lucky to partake of her bounty.
