Outback Steakhouse Shrimp on the on the Barbie
In response to the search for Outback Steakhouse Shrimp on the Barbie seasonings, I think I came found it by accident. I was preparing the cream sauce for O.S. Queensland Chicken and Shrimp, and the taste was delightfully familiar, so I mixed another batch of the seasoning, bought 1 lb. of Jumbo shrimp, and dry-rubbed the Shrimp, let set for 1 hour, then sauted the shrimp with a little olive oil, then added a splash of white wine, and sauted until they turned pink on each side (don't overcook!)The ingredients as listed in the recipe are as follows, but you won't have to use it all- save half for later!
1/4 t. poultry seasoning (that was for the chicken, but it works just fine!)
1/8-1/4 t. cayenne (to taste)
1/8 t. white pepper
1/8 t. onion powder
1 T. garlic powder
I would like to hear what others think of this. I'm sure that this could be done on the grill also. Good luck and bon apetit!
