Hi to you both

Misc.
Hi! Thanks for the warm greetings, just like true "Alberta folk" :)
Toronto is a very hectic place, and it's certainly not where we hope to settle. I think it surprised me though how much you can adjust to things, even though you never quite fit in with the "big CITY" mentality. It does have it's perks, though, which I will truly miss when we do move on- - the small market-style shopping (Kensington Market has got me hooked!), fresh fruit and veggie stands everywhere, the culture....not to mention the weather (21 C right now!) - -a very vibrant place. We traveled down towards London this summer, and really liked what we saw of the area. As my husband is working on his PhD to become a professor, we are always scouting out possible relocation sites!
I was born & raised in Edmonton, but I have to say that my true home will always be the Rockies. We ended up spending as much time as possible during the year ...winter, summer...didn't matter to us! I do know where Robb is - and it would be a fabulous place to live! We are both feeling serious withdrawal from that lifestyle, and even though Ontario is a beautiful province, it just can never compare for us. Acually, we've decided to play hooky from reality all summer and head back west to backcountry camp for July and August throughout the Alberta and BC Rockies!! For me, there's nothing that compares to that tranquility and awesome magnitude of the mountains. Anyway - enough with my obsession! I've enjoyed hearing from both of you, and would love to keep it going!
