Hoisin Sauce

Hoisin sauce is also called Peking sauce. It is a spicy-sweet, brownish red sauce made from soybeans, sugar, garlic, chilies and various spices. This, with a concentrated flavor, it is usually diluted with water, stock, or sesame oil. It can be found in supermarkets and Asian markets.
